·Expert in volatile components in the aromas of wine through chromatography of gases and mass spectrometry.
·Participation in 10 National and Andalusian Investigation Projects focusing on wines with the Denomination of Origin of Montilla-Moriles (Córdoba). Current project/contract CDTI: New unique wines from the Denomination of Origin Montilla-Moriles.
·Participation in 70 National and International Congresses and more than 40 publications where the results of the above mentions projects were presented.
·Teaching of: Post-graduate courses with the introduction to sensory analysis of wines (IDEP, University of Córdoba), Enology workshops at the Intergenerational Center Francisco Santiseban (Córdoba) and conferences on the wines of Montillla-Moriles.
·Professor in the Master´s program of Viticulture in hot climates (University of Cádiz).
·Several stints in Investigation in the “Institut des Products de la Vigne (INRA)” (Institute of Vine Products) Montpellier (France)
·Awarded the IV and yhe XVI Award for Investigation “Jose Luis Mesías Iglesias” (University of Extremadura)
